COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Forget the fact that this was the first year of the Zydeco Half Marathon\Marathon, because you never would've known. The organization, the expo, the course, the spectators, the awesome police officers and the festival after the races were second to none. Even the t-shirt and the poster are awesome keepsakes. Lafayette knows how to put on a good time and make you feel like you belong there. The team that put this on knew what they were doing! We had a blast. Thank you. | |

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 The race was very well organised. The course was flat and there were plenty of A/S. Support was never far away and having the double loop meant that one never felt far from the action. One of the best 'small' races in the region with organisation which exceeded expectation. | |

COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 3 Only a few minor changes I saw. 1)Corals were needed , too many walkers up front 2)Bigger PA system at the start line , most ppl didn't know the star spangle banner was going on. Could not hear anouncments. 3) different medals for 1/2 and full ( different color ribbon and words ) | |

From the scenery of the course to the volunteers and organizers and the grand support of the community throughout the race as well as leading up to and after the race. I will definitely run again!! The only trouble I had was on some of the roads, they didn't offer a really flat spot to run in some places. | |

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This was my fifth marathon, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well-organized, nice expo, great support along the course with plentiful aid stations and porta-johns. Post-race party was pleasant, with great food and music. Highly recommend this one! Nice weather, too. | |

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 Excellent Race from start to finish!!!! Very well organized for an inaugural event. Weather was perfect. Nice shirt & finishers medal. Parking was easy and very close to the start/finish line. Great volunteers and spectator support. Water and Powerade at every mile along the course. Gu was also provided. Smoothies from Smoothie King and plenty of fluids at the finish line. Finish line festival was great. Awesome food. Shrimp pasta Andouille & Duck gumbo was amazing. Job well done!!!! | |

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 I loved running this race. The expo and finish line festival were well-planned and a lot of fun-and also really showcased Lafayette. The spectators, volunteers, and police on the course unquestionably made the experience for me and helped me achieve a personal record on Sunday. The only suggestions I heard from some friends who ran the race as well and started farther back at the starting line is that clearer directions/corrals might have helped; they had trouble hearing what was going on from the back at the start and experienced some confusion. Fantastic event overall. I lived in New York for two years before moving to Lafayette and was a member of New York Road Runners, so I ran a lot of big races there, and Sunday's race stands in my mind as one of my favorites. |
