Pumlani wins Robin Hood marathon for third time

PUMLANI Bangani,34, who was running for the Salford Harriers won the Robin Hood Marathon for the third time in the last 4 years with a time of 2 hours 25 minutes and 27 seconds. Rotherham Harriers runner Debbie Mason, 40, was the female marathon champion with a time of two hours, 53 minutes and 15 seconds despite having knee surgery less than two years ago.

Runner dies at Nottingham's Robin Hood marathon

Race Director Chris Sumner sent his condolences to the family of a man who died shortly after crossing the half-marathon mark around 12 noon in Nottingham. Sumner stated that this was the third person to die at the race in the last 9 years.

Police have named the man who died during a marathon in Nottingham, Craig Johanson. This was not the first death associated with the race. Four years ago a Nottingham City Councillor, Don Scott, collapsed and died after completing the race.
