Blue Angel Marathon: Blanton's victory is all about the shoes

Jesse Blanton arrived at the start of the Blue Angel Marathon on Saturday having forgotten his running shoes. He dashed and found a vendor willing to give him shoes with a promise of payment at the end of the race.
Blanton went on to win in 2:34:20, and the vendor got his money.

Runner makes Blue Angel his 248th marathon

Hajime Nishi, 53, holds the world record for running marathons on all seven continents in a 168-day period in 1997, and now will add another marathon to his long list of races at the Blue Angel.
