The greatest moments in your life are the ones that are the most challenging, the ones that take you out of your comfort zone, the ones that scare you to death... those are the moments when we feel most alive.
If you are happy with big, crowded races with flat, fast courses, music at every mile to 'motivate' you, a bagel and a factory medal at your finish line, then move on; this race is not for you.
If, however, you are looking to evolve into a real runner, read on.
If you are seeking a challenge and ready to be rewarded with a finishers jacket, a medal with meaning, spirit, and history as well as festive margaritas, beer, freshly grilled fajitas and live music, then Miracle Match is ... Click here for more

The course was good. The goodie bag was not worth my time. The 5k was longer than 5k. There were few mileage markers on the half. Most water stops on the half course were understaffed. The food was not going to be ready until 11 even tho I was finished w/the half at 9:20.

Loved this race. Just as I was getting tired, I was met with more scenery and water stops with encouraging volunteers! And we ran their the zoo! I had never heard of this before. Loved everything about it.

Great Volunteers, finishers medal, jacket, support along the course, awesome post race food and beer! Guarantee to feel the Texas hospitality with Waco's Striders Running Club. The course, starts out relatively flat, then from mile 6 begins to gradually go thru rolling hills, mile 15 will one the first big hill, next mile another LONG rolling hill. The major hill climbing does not begin until mile 21-23, which takes from College drive at MCC and Cameron Park, then flat last two miles. All the great water stops will make you forget about the Hills, it will be worth it when Nancy will waiting for you at the finish line with Your Finisher's medal, Jacket, and even a Beer!

Compared to other races very well organized. The best cause that I have raced to benefit. Scenic course that highlights Waco's finer points. Excellent selection of vendors prior to the race and plenty of food and drink after the race! I love/hate the hills.

This is one of the toughest road marathon courses in the country...serious fun...a serious food spread afterwards!
The firefighter relay is wonderful.
This year the medal seemed to lose focus quite a bit...it was not a maltese cross like I expected...nice metal medal, but the shape has morphed a bit the wrong way in my opinion.

First Marathon
I participated in a 4-person relay. It was a great race, but I didn't think it was very friendly to the relayers, more to the full marathon runners. I think there should be places for the relayers to stand along the race and watch their team, especially should be designated spots in Cameron Park where the roads are closed. Other than that, was a lot of fun!!! The metals you get make you feel super cool!

If you're a serious marathoner or a first timer...this is a great course, great after party, well planned event. I put this marathon right at the top. This recommendation is coming from someone who has run the New York Marathon, Las Vegas, Houston, and White Rock 4 times. I have run this marathon 4 times and the half marathon 3 times. It's always great!! Never been let down. A big plus...the Match Donor program saves lives. This is a wonderful cause so sign up. You won't regret it.
