A Runner from Montreal, Canada (10/31/2001)
"Great marathon, race directors are fantastic" (General Comments)

COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 2

We have run this marathon 7 times and it is now on our list to do every year. Eliz & Leslie Gamble, the race directors, are great. It really lives up to its name, 'the FRIENDLY Marathon'. Run it and you will not be disappointed.

A Runner from Kansas (10/22/2001)
"Cool place during hot summers" (about: 1993)

COURSE: 4  ORGANIZATION: 4  FANS: 2

It's been a few years since I made the trip to Massey....1993 to be exact. Weather was very pleasant, a very 'down home' feel to the race. The course wasn't a cakewalk, but it wasn't terribly demanding either. Not a whole lot of elite-type runners when I was there-- but a nice roadtrip.

A Runner from Belleville,Ontario,Canada (8/3/2001)
"a great experience." (about: 2001)

COURSE: 4  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 5

This was my first marathon. It was as good as it's title, Friendly. The people were great! The course was interesting. An all together great experience. I hope to be there next year!

I have run this race before, love the area, camp by the start line. Every KM marked. Two Loops course, but you can see fellow runners more than twice.

I have run this many times...love the area..p.b.course. but I have noticed they are starting to cut back. No more wooden finisher medals and age groups are now 10yrs.
