Robert Kelly won the 2019 Barstaple Marathon in 2:51:05 while Amy Sole won the women's race in 3:08:16.

The North Devon Road Runners member, Carol Rattigan, will take part in her 100th race over 26.2 miles on Sunday, September 25 at the Barnstaple Marathon.

   Kenyan one-two at Barnstaple Marathon (North Devon Gazette)
Elite Kenyan runners Nicholas Koech and Timon Cheruiyot were first across the finish line  Cheruiyot with a time of 2hrs 38mins 41secs and Baronjo clocking in at 2hrs 40mins 28secs.

   Elite Kenyan athletes join 1,100 runners in signing up for sold-out Barnstaple Marathon (North Devon Gazette)
Nicholas Koech and Timon Cheruiyot will be among 1,100 runners on the start line for this years event on September 27, being held to help raise money for the Autism Smile Centre in Bideford and Childrens Hospice South West. Koech, aged 31, won the 2011 Prague Marathon in two hours and seven minutes, while 21-year-old Cheruiyot has a half marathon personal best of 61 minutes.
