(Brantford Expositor.ca) The men's marathon at the Pan Am Games unfolded pretty much the way Brant County coach Rick Mannen figured -- with one exception. The runner he coaches, Kip Kangogo of Lethbridge, Alt., was forced to slow down late in last Saturday's race due to cramping. | ||

| Craig Leon fifth at Pan Am marathon
(Times Bulletin) Leon, who completed the race in 2:19:26, was 2:22 behind Gold Medalist Richer Perez of Cuba and eight seconds faster than fellow American Tim Young, who placed sixth in the race. It was Leon's first international marathon and first race as a member of Team USA. Leon competed in, and won, a half marathon in Costa Rica earlier this month. | ||
