It took Fernando Cabada 20 miles to make his mind up to win the Twin Cities Marathon. He broke away from the pack to win by over one minute in 2 hours, 16 minutes and 32 seconds on a rain filed day.

   Olga Glok leads 1-2-3 Russian finish in Twin Cities Marathon women's race (Pioneer Press)
Olga Glok erased a 10-second deficit with 300 meters to go to overtake fellow Russian Silvia Skvortsova and win the women's race at the Twin Cities Marathon on Sunday. Glok, 25, finished in 2 hours, 32 minutes, 27 seconds to beat Skvortsova by 11 seconds. Russians placed first, second, and third in the 2008 marathon event.

   Twin Cities Marathon, construction to close roads Downtown (Milwaukee Downtown Journal)
The Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon and 10 Mile race will leave travelers in a bit of a quandry. The roads will be closed to allow for over 15,000 runners and walkers to traverse the city roads starting at the Dome and finishing at the capitol in downtown St.Paul.

The Twin Cities marathon wants participants to know that the ban on electronic devices, including headphones, mp3 players and radios will be enforced this weekend.
