   Lenn sets women's record in Pensacola Marathon (Pensacola News Journal)
The winners of the 2008 Pensacola Marathon were last minute entry into the race Matt Dobson in a 2:43:06 and twenty-year old Tara Lenn who set a new women's course record with a 3:11:49. Dobson, the returning champion, had run the Disney World Marathon a few weeks prior and had not planned to run the race. 780 runners participated in the marathon and half-marathon.

Gulf coast children from kindergarten through 6th grade will have the opportunity to meet Subway legend Jared Fogle on January 5th to help kick off the Pensacola Kids Marathon. The children will complete 25 miles over the next 41 days and finish their marathon with adult competitors by running the last 1.2 miles on February 17th.
