Anthem Bay-Bridge Marathon is discontinued

The Anthem Bay Bridge Marathon, a weekend of October running events produced by the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival, has been discontinued, according to race organizers.

Second annual Anthem Bay Bridge Marathon

Several runners from the Eastern Shore of Virginia participated in the second annual Anthem Bay Bridge Marathon Sunday. Of the local runners the team of Susan Murphy and Martha Holdsworth were the only ones to receive trophies.

Russians rule mens, womens races at Bay Bridge Marathon

Russians dominated the second annual Anthem Bay Bridge Marathon. Defending champion Mikhail Knobotov won the race in 2:26:52. Andrey Kuznetsov, 45, was second in 2:37:29. Teammates Victoria Zveva, 20, and Tatyana Maslova, 37, were the top two women. with times of 2:45:51 and 2:54:44 respectively.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge Marathon to add new relay division
