350th Place A Victory For Runner Who Battled Cancer

Alexis Smith of Colorado Springs was battling stage 4 cancer and declared cancer free two years ago. She finished the American Discovery Trail Marathon this weekend in 350th place and called it a victory.

Little training goes a long way for American Discovery Trail Marathon winner

Dan Goding, despite a bad back and only having put in one 15 mile training run, managed to pull off the victory Monday in the American Discovery Trail Marathon with a time of 2 hours 52 minutes 33 seconds. Heather McWhirter entered the race as a meager training run for another marathon in Utah. McWhirter managed to run to a 3 hour 8 minute and 3 second marathon win.
