Indeed, Englehart, 23, was a lead pack of one as he finished the 26.2-mile course in 2 hours, 39 minutes and 40 seconds. That was about eight minutes slower than last years winning time, but more than five minutes faster than his nearest competitor, Steven Johnson, 25, of Fitchburg.

With all the different events and age groups that make up the Mad City Marathon, more than 100 competitors could point to the results and call themselves winners. Mostafa Kechmy was not one of them, but he should have been. Kechmy, a 49-year-old from Kenosha, drew stares and laughs throughout his 13.1-mile trek through the half-marathon as he ran the entire race wearing a suit.
