33 Britons Head To Refugee Camp Sahara Marathon

The Sahara Marathon takes place on February 22. The marathon started in 2001 to support thousands of Saharawi refugees living near Tindouf. Many of them have been refugees since 1975.

2009 Sahara Marathon in February to raise fund for Saharawi refugees

The Sahara Marathon, to be run on Feb. 23rd, will be raising awareness, and money to fund humanitarian efforts, for the Saharawi refugees in the Western Sahara. 550 runners participated in last year's race, and former world champion Martin Fiz has confirmed his participation in this year's race.
