Wardian wins Parks marathon
(The Washington Times) In his fourth marathon in six weeks, the 29-year-old Arlington runner Michael Wardian dominated the fourth annual Marathon in the Parks in Montgomery County.

Spiller, Knickman Winners of Marathon in the Parks
(Washington Post) David Spiller, 24, of Harrisonburg, Va., outlasted a pair of African runners to win the Marathon in the Parks Marathon in Bethesda, MD, in 2:33:11
Denise Knickman of Baltimore won the women's race going away, finishing in 2:59:18.
Spiller hung back until the latter portion of the race when he ran ahead of Kenyan and Ethopian racers.

Hoon, Cairns Rule in Montgomery County Marathon in the Parks
(Washington Post) Mark Hoon won the inaugural Montgomery County Marathon in the Parks in a time of 2:34:47. First woman was Hilary Cairns who crossed the finish line in 3:00:21
