Harrisburg Marathon in the city on Sunday.
(The Patriot News) Josh Beck's first Harriburg marathon in 2003 gave his legs some real trouble near the twenty-third mile mark. In 2007 he returned again to run the race in near perfect conditions to win it the overall marathon with a time of 2 hours and 37 minutes. A great way to go out as he will not be running this Sunday.

Marathons can be addicting
(The Patriot News) In 1973 Hap Miller quit smoking and put on 25 pounds in the aftermath. He also watched the first Harrisburg Marathon. Two years later, in 1975, he would run his first of 33 Harriburg Marathons and lose the 25 pounds as a result of his running. At age 65 and retired, Miller will again toe the line for his 34th Harrisburg Marathon this weekend.
