   Kenya Beijing squad announced as trials conclude in Nairobi (IAAF)
Athletics Kenya released the final list of thirty-seven athletes who will compete in the Beijing Summer Olympics. The Marathon team will be led by Martin Lel, Robert Cheruiyot and Sammy Wanjiru. World champion Catherine Ndereba, Martha Komu and Selina Kosgei compose the women's team.

Abdellah Behar, a native of Morocco who runs for France, had appendix surgery on Monday,a few hours after being admitted to a hospital with stomach pains. He was expected to remain in the hospital about 24 hours. French team doctor Didier Polin said Behar, 27, still could run in the Oct. 1 men's marathon.
