This was my first half marathon and I was so pleased with the course, the organization of the event, and the positive spirit of all the volunteers. I had such a great time!!

Simple, straight-forward fast course with great support, wonderful volunteers, nice host hotel, well managed expo, packet pickup, etc. I like the size of the field, not too big, not overly small. The chance to make your own peanut butter and jelly sandwich at the end was a treat! Awards ceremonies held within a reasonable amount of time Enjoyable all the way around.

This was only my second marathon. It was flat and fast which enabled me to easily PR! The spectators were awesome for a fairly small venue. Everything was well organized and glitch free. So much water, gatorade, GU available at the aide stations, plus portapotties and toilets were plentiful. The course itself is similar to a trail I run on, so it was familiar and comfortable to me. Although I enjoyed the massive crowd support at my larger 1st marathon, I don't find it necessary. There was much support here, more than I ever expected, so I was pleasantly surprised by that.
I will definitely be doing this marathon again next year.

I would definitely run this marathon again. Well organized and the course is great. You can usually count on cool weather, so that is a plus.

I had a wonderful time running the Tallahassee Half Marathon! I loved how the course was flat and fast, and how we started and ended on the FSU campus. Being an FSU alumni, it was special for me to be up there, back on campus, and my old dorm was just behind the track, Sally Hall! Not too many spectators, but where there were some, they were supportive. Loved the post race massage as well. Thank you!

"Very nice course, beautiful trail, fun spectators." (about: 2013)

Plenty of parking for ease of access right near the start, tons of volunteer suppport and fun spectators, plenty of hydration and gels provided, really nice flat course most of it on a nice trail. Super fun to finish on the FSU track with names announced as you run the final lap. Definitely will do it again. Great first timer race too!

"Amazingly well organized and a super flat course!" (about: 2013)

Simply put, this is an excellent race. First and foremost, it is incredibly well-organized. Those of you who have run poorly organized races, especially at the distances of marathon and above, now how critical this can be to the overall experience. The Tallahassee marathon does not disappoint. It is clearly organized by a runner, which is obvious in the professionalism of the race (and the number of porta-johns available!).
Lastly, this is a flat course. True, there is not a ton to look at - but, the majority of the course is on a trail surrounded by trees. Though the spectators are slightly sparse, the volunteers are enthusiastic and always willing to help. The road crossings are well controlled and I did not hear of one person having to slow down to wait to cross.
Overall - a fantastic event!

This was a very well organized event with great, supportive volunteers. The pizza and crepes at the end were AWESOME! The course was really nice and shaded in many parts which was great.

This was my first marathon and I can't say enough great things about the race. It's scenic, flat, and better supported (hydration/nutrition/traffic control) than any Disney race I've ever run. No, it doesn't go through Downtown Tallahassee, and you don't want it to! The hills there are killer! Volunteers were everywhere and were super nice. Looping the FSU campus got everyone spread out. It's a great race to pop in those earbuds, put on some great music and just run! I highly recommend it for veterans and first timers alike, and will definitely be running the 40th Tally Marathon in 2014!

Nice flat course, fantastic support (GU and Gatorade everywhere). Host hotel allowed late checkout, and the weather was great. I'll be back again for this one!
