(about: 2017) 1 previous marathon \| 1 Tallahassee Marathon COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 When I decided to sign up to run the 2017 Tallahassee Marathon, I was pretty nervous since it would be my first marathon, but it ended up being a decision I'll always be happy that I made. The course was beautiful with rolling hills that kept the course fun and interesting. The race was also organized very well; there were police officers making sure all runners were safe, volunteers telling us where to turn, and hydration/nutrition stops every mile. The volunteers and spectators, as well as other runners, along the course were very encouraging the whole way, resulting in a very positive, exhilarating environment. I would highly recommend running this marathon. I know I definitely plan on doing it again!

I have nothing to compare, but i'll never forget this. The track was very beautiful, the organization was more than good. The food and refreshments on the way, and afterwards. The pasta evening was nice. And the friendly people (even the police blocking traffic) made this an unforgetable event for me. Please put this run in your calender for next time.

M. from St. Pete, Florida (3/3/2015) "Fabulous race, great BQ opportunity" (about: 2015) 2 previous marathons \| 1 Tallahassee Marathon COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 2015 was my first Tallahassee Marathon and the entire experience was very well done by the organizers; great communications in advance, informative expo, then race day specifics directions, ample close parking, strong crowd support near start and finish, and the course the trail was tree-lined with lots of shade tho not essential with 42 degrees at start, all turns well marked, and many volunteers where needed, to make for a great runner's experience. Don't change the course please! Few hills near start and finish, very flat trail mostly. Overall a super race event we were so glad to have entered. See you next year!

P. from FLORIDA (2/23/2015) "Awesome marathon course" (about: 2015) 3 previous marathons \| 1 Tallahassee Marathon COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 I ran this marathon course 2-8-15 and it was great. Super well organized. I got emails from the organizers with helpful info (haven't gotten this before). The course was flat, shaded (for most part), and good water stops. There was plenty of parking. I liked the out and back course. It didn't get boring. Got a BQ time from this race!!

B. from Orlando, FL (2/21/2015) "3rd Time Tallahassee Maratthon" (about: 2015) 6-10 previous marathons \| 3 Tallahassee Marathons COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 This is the 3rd time I've done this race. I really like it, as it is flat and fast. For a smaller venue, it has good crowd support and excellent traffic control. Seems like there are more spectators each year, and they are really loud and cheerful. Excellent nutrition, hydration and rest stops availability, too. Will return next year.

(about: 2015) 11-50 previous marathons \| 1 Tallahassee Marathon COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 3 Very well done race.....very flat and fast....a bit hot at finish, but out of the control of the organizers! Beautiful, paved trail for 3/4 or race! Surrounded by live oaks! My only suggestion would be to start the half and full at different times, as the trail was too crowded up with the half for the first 6 miles! Otherwise, I would definitely recommend!

(about: 2015) 11-50 previous marathons \| 1 Tallahassee Marathon COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 Last Sunday I ran the best organized marathon of my life. Gulf Winds Track Club did a great job. Nice course, friendly and dedicated volunteers and a great finish in style on a track. Reasonably priced and there was plenty of food at the stops and at the finish line, also for runners who reached that line after 5 hours. Nice age group prizes. It is a local thing but deserves more attention from runners of other states and countries. I'd recommend the Tallahassee marathon to everyone. Good job!

(about: 2015) 11-50 previous marathons \| 2 Tallahassee Marathons COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 Nice, flat, out and back course on tree lined paved trail. I have run it twice, with great weather luck both times. Picked it for a try at a Boston qualifier and made it! Plenty of room to run and nicely managed support on the course. Easy to get to and good hotel choices. Great race!
karen miles from Florida (2/11/2015) "FAST, FLAT, FANTASTICLY FRIENDLY, MARATHON" (about: 2015) 11-50 previous marathons \| 1 Tallahassee Marathon COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 4 I've never run this particular marathon. I loved the course, (flat and scenic), the volunteers, (helpful, encouraging, and friendly), the medal, (beautiful), the expo, (informative), and just about everything else! I plan to come back and run the way I'm suppose to! Not injured, strong, and more determined than ever to do a better job!
