Yes. The weather was gloomy at best. Bit that didn't stop spectators from coming out in full force. The water & food stations were great! I only ran the half marathon. Running two laps didn't seem appealing to me.
I highly recommend this race.

A two lap fast if gently undulating course. The 'goody bag' included a long sleeve technical shirt, a running vest, a head/neck scarf and a water bottle. If I had gone into a sport shop with 30 Euros and come out with that lot I would have been very pleased with myself. I delayed my arrival at the start because it was very cold that morning (2011) and didn't leave enough time to work out my start zone. The marathon and half marathon start together so the start is rather congested and failing to find my proper zone cost me a personal best time. Bring your gloves!Enjoy Ljubljana it's well worth a visit.

This was my first 1/2 marathon, and the people in Ljubljana are wonderful...there were about 6000 registered for the race. The course is very flat and scenic. I would recommend this race to anyone just starting out or who wants to run a nice course.

Ljubljana is delightful little city, full of super architecture and tons of history. People very welcoming.

Good points for the marathon: Very cheap for all the goodies you get; city-center start and finish; rural section with trees, etc.; good support for the small population; traffic-free; interactive race coverage on internet for friends to watch at home.

Bad points: it's 2 laps, so novelty soon vanishes; half marathon starts at the same time; absolute chaos at feed stations on first lap; cups, not bottles; course is very up and down; pasta party is a bit weak.

Note: Check the weather forecast, as in late October it can vary wildly in outlook. This year it was pretty warm.

The Ljubljana Marathon is a small race (a few hundred runners) in the cozy capital of a small country, but it is well organized. For a small entrance fee (less than 10 EURO), I got a T-Shirt, a medal and some food in addition to the marathon. The course itself is not extremely exciting; it is made of two half marathon laps running through the center and the outskirts of the city, where there are not too many spectators around. However, there is a nice atmosphere at the finish, which is situated in a beautiful central square of town.
