"Great inaugural marathon" (about: 2016)

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 3

Great race for a first year event. Start was amazing with state capitol and iconic Tower Bridge. Very flat and fast. Course winds through West Sac past Raley Field out along Sacramento River. Very scenic. You run one loop out and back and then a second out and back along other side of river and then returning through Land Park. Very well supported. Volunteers everywhere and plenty of medical along course. Last 10k was a little tough as temps were in mid 70's and crowd support was thin. Felt a little lonely. I have never run races for the medals, but they have great ones. A lot of pre and post race festivities. I would recommend running it. It was my 26th marathon and it is near the top of the list. This event will grow in popularity.
