 "Tough, Challenging, yet Oddly Enjoyable!" (about: 2014)

COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 3 3 loop course for 50k, hilly and twisted trails. Very interesting and varied terrain. RD stated pre-race that the course would turn muddy after it warmed up, he was not joking. First loop boasted a frozen path which was actually quite runnable. About two hours after the race start the course was turning to mush and by the final loop it reduced most runners to walkers. Lots of slips and falls! Be prepared to finish bruised and muddy! | |

COURSE: 3 ORGANIZATION: 3 FANS: 2 My first trail run marathon, although this race was a trail marathon, it may have not been 26.2 miles due to the confusing course. Pleasant and nice race officials. Limited water stops. The course was fun in it's twisted way, with rolling small hills and slippery footing. |
