For an inaugural race, this marathon was remarkably well organized. The field was capped to a small enough size that the trails were enjoyable. And, the race creators picked an incredible route. It was challenging, but not so much so that you couldn't enjoy the scenery and fresh mountain air. There weren't many spectators, but I still gave 5 Stars for that category because those that were out there (even other people out for their daily jog or bike ride) were super friendly and supportive. I saw on the website that they're planning on adding a relay: I really hope they don't. Part of what made this race so enjoyable was that it was just simply a marathon and that the trails weren't too crowded.
