Got to admit, worst part for me as a runner was that I'm also a photo-hound, and the park just came to life on the second lap when the fog lifted. Beautiful water birds, moss-covered trees, gators, (missed the herd of wild hogs, though!). Ample aid stations, snacks. I did get off course thougharrows didn't always seem to point out the trail clearly at the forks in the road. Biggest complaint was the timing issue at the end, and the organizer having to ask all the people sitting around who they were, their ages, and the event they ran. Never did get the final times announced for the marathon, and I actually placed in my age group! (Surprise!)
Also, it's pretty rare for a 1/2 or full marathon to not have finisher medals. It's not always about the 'bling' but it's nice to have something to take back home.
Got to say the biggest perk to running this is the setting!

Great crew with marvellous volunteers  your support is what keeps us going.
Next year, try to keep us more off the main park roads.More trails mean more fun.
Good chill out area afterwards, although a beer with the burger would have made it 5-stars! J

-Not crowded
-Scenery is great
-Race layout (2 times figure-8 loops)
-Lots of water/gatorade
-Chip timing
-Didn't see any crocodiles on the trail

Didn't like:
-No mile markers (bring your garmin)
