A "small" marathon on a picturesque island.

Beware that it is on open roads - especially dangerous on last 3 miles or so on approach to finish. No blue line to follow - some people went the wrong way. The first part was hilly, but then it got flat. Not a PB course. Start and finish are at a nice stadium, but it is its position that is problematic - near the island's center. More use of coast (out-and-back style) would be safer and better. The part on the coast is very beautiful and the best bit of the event. Pasta party is too pricey for what you get. The relay event very expensive. There's a mass start with no pens, so expect slower runners ahead, but as a small marathon, it's not too much of a problem.
