I ran the 6 hour race in 2013. I have run many times in marathons with more than 40,000 and 25,000 runners and did not communicate, interact and get introduced to more friendly runners as in the 2013 Toronto YU Run4Rkids

Great race the first weekend in January, climate controlled! This was my first indoor race and I didn't know how I would feel running a marathon/ultra on an indoor track. It was an AMAZING experience. Every lap your chiptime is registered and a large screen displays your accumulated distance which is motivating. They have a great way to reverse the running direction every hour. The number of runners is limited so you get to know everyone...I got to run with and talk to elite runners. Fully stocked aid station, pizza afterwards, cool ceramic medal, spectators clapping and cheering all made the experience so much more than I expected. If you have never done an indoor marathon/ultra I highly recommend registering for this race.

Pre race pickup was well organized, registration was kept to a manageable number of people on the track. Music was played overhead, race snacks were adequate. Pizza afterwords and free massages were a great bonus. I would definately run this again to break up the cold winter months.

This is my first indoor ultra marathon. I must admit - it was much better than I expected. The setting provided an opportunity to learn and talk to the other more experienced runners and the aid stations were well stocked. Flushing toilets were also a plus! The volunteers were fun and I got to high five everyone I wanted to and/or sing and dance during my six hours. A great day! The only thing I would change is the signage - I had some troubles finding the place and most people on campus didn'T know where it was. The cold showers were also a drag after the race.

For many runners, the thought of running around an indoor track might sound boring. However, this is a perfect race for runners who enjoy the social aspect of running. You are constantly either passing or passed by other runners, which encourages interaction among runners of all speeds. The aid station (which you pass every 200 meters) is well stocked and attended by friendly and helpful volunteers. Overall, this is a fun and unique race, and it provides a welcome refuge from the harsh January weather.

This was a great indoor race for a cold January Saturday.
Everything was set up to perfection.
I look forward to running it again next time.

Thank you to Scott and Cindy, and all of the great organizers and volunteers. Next year we should have no problem doubling the participants and really make some money to support the KIDS!
