I recently moved to this area and this was the 1st time running this event. The course takes you trhough the town of Polusbo and the 2cd half is really rolling hills and lonely, however beautfuil. Great belt buckle for BQ qualifers, almost as nice as some 100mi I have run. Very little food at finsih, and I placed 2cd in my age group and all I got was a cheap ribbon, that stated award winner and had the 1.2 and 10K event listed on the ribbon. For $75-$90 I want and expect some recongtion for my achivement spend the money and purchase better awards. If you have low expectations you won't be disappointed

Tough and fun small road marathon on a hilly (883 ft elevation gain) and scenic mostly loop course giving a nice tour of the land between Poulsbo and Suquamish, Washington. Unusual for a marathon is a nice belt buckle for runners who run a Boston qualifying time. Good organization and friendly volunteers. Recommended.
