I was hoping for a great race since it's a gorgeous spot, and amazing scenery! However, that was all I have to say that was good. They had stated aid and water stations every 4 miles, and there were not. Only one aid station at the 6.5 mile mark where you turn around and go back on the same trail, and one at the finish line. There were ample opportunities they could've driven a car up to a road intersection and provided more water. What are we paying for? Not to mention the out and back on the same trail, and then repeat the same trail for the marathon? The half and ultra were also all on the same trail, and you didn't know who you were competing against. It was single track and everyone was bumping into everyone. No one took down your number or time at the turnaround, so we hope that everyone is honest? I have run a number of really well organized trail marathons that didn't have any of these problems. So to the organizers of this one.. Please vary the course, different color bibs, more water stations, no one even knew where the start was, and number pick up shouldn't be the morning of the race..

My first trail marathon and I can't wait for another. A great experience all around. Great people organizing and staffing the aid stations. I highly recommend this marathon to anyone.
