There was absolutely no organization from start to finish - I even had a hard time trying to find packet pickup, as nothing was lit on the road and there were no signs. Finding the start line was also a struggle, as there was nothing marked again. The course was hectic, as in-line skaters shared the road, and as the day progressed, cars were allowed on the road. At the end, there was nothing more than some chips and some Gatorade and a lonely trip to the car. November is great time for a marathon, but just not here.

I did not run the full marathon but I did run the half marathon at the same time, which was two loops of the same course versus four loops on the same course for the marathon.

PROS:
Plenty of water stops with supplies.
Great volunteers.
Nice weather.

CONS:
Poor organization
No food at finish line unless you wanted chips - though a finish-line buffet was promised.
Cheap medal that could be bought at any trophy store in the country.
Confusion at the start line for runners.
Too much activity with in-line skaters on the road at the same time.
Nothing exciting at the start the finish or on the course - which is okay but not at the price for this event.

Save your money and energy and run any other race in Florida.

Expensive race with generic shirts and cheap finisher medals. Aid stations were well stocked with goodies and plenty of portolets. The volunteers were fantastic. Running race was held along with inline skaters. The skaters were inconsiderate and dangerous to those of us on foot. Would not recommend this race; spend your money elsewhere. Too many good events in Florida to waste your training and money on this event.
