Runner from Wolverhampton. I have run this race 19 times consecutively and continue to enjoy it. I think that says it all. They have changed the finishing area this year, which sounds like a little thing, but it has up until now been so outstanding that its removal has detracted from the overall feeling. Just do it, you'll love it.

I have run this marathon twice, it is well organised and has great support from spectators. It has one or two hills (four last time I counted)
It is not too crowded and you can set off at race pace from the start.
The scenery is not particularly pretty unless you are interested in pottery factories.

a great atmosphere is generated by the spectators who are very supportive of the efforts of the runners. lovely start & finish area.
