This race was very inspirational. It was a pleasure to run among all the handicapped athletes. The course is not the most exciting but the cause is a great one. I would definitely run it again when I have the opportunity

Well, I wanted to qualify for the Comrades Marathon in South Africa and this was my final chance and attempt to do so. Adrienne, thank you for the POSITIVE approach and motivation. After lap 6 the course gets a little to you BUT hey!!! Hang in there, 2 LAPS to go. The SUPPORT in the WET weather was OUTSTANDING and OUTRAGEOUS. They drove me to EMOTIONS and tears every lap I completed. Thank You Brooklyn, you helped me to qualify and reach my life long goal. I will be running the Comrades Marathon in South Africa in June and hope to fininsh in time. There were plenty of drinks there and water tables galore.... Well worth my $40 and for all the friends I made in one day ... GOD BLESS Achilles NY!!!! Boerseun from South Africa

I wanted to celebrate my friends birthday on this course and as it turned out it was the worst decision I had ever made... We wanted to start early so we arrived 1 hour before the start. To my amazement it was complete chaos. No race numbers, no water stands, no race director. I spent $150.00 for both of us to run this and didn't even get a Tee Shirt. I was very disappointed with this Marathon, I understand that it was the first running but their organizational skills definately left something to be desired. Folks, save your $75 dollars for the NY Marathon.
