This marathon was fast, scenic and well organized. Thunder Bay is a fun loving party town on Lake Superior. I love running and partying at Grandma's Marathon and feel that Lake Superior partying connection to this Canadian marathon 180 miles north of Duluth, MN.

"Enjoyable race, but few spectators." (about: 2005)

Mostly flat course, but some gentle rises and descents. Quite a lot of shade on the tree-lined bike paths which constitute most of the course. Plenty of water/gatorade stops.
The finish lap on the 400 meter track is a definite plus.

"riverfront running at its best" (about: 2004)

A two-loop course running along tree-lined bicycle paths. The course runs through both Confederation College and Lakehead University campuses. The course also follows a meandering river.
