"Stunning scenery & outstanding organization!" (about: 2001)
COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 2 This course is truly beautiful. I highly recommend this race to anyone looking for a small, yet well organized race in an extremely scenic setting. This was one race where I really soaked up the scenery from start to finish. The course is at altitude, but it is basically downhill much of the way, which could mean a fast time for someone who routinely runs at altitude. There were plenty of well-stocked aid stations, and the post-race party was very nice. I would definitely do this race again, if for no other reason than to see the beautiful mountains of colorado during peak foliage! | |

"Beautiful course, well run small marathon" (about: 1999)
COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 3 I have run the race two times and enjoyed both races. The weather can be challenging in the Rockies in October but last year was fantastic. This is a small race with very few spectators, but if you like to run in a beautiful part of the country, I would recommend this race. |
