A Runner from green bay wi (10/19/2000)
"not boring, scenic route" (about: 1999)

COURSE: 4  ORGANIZATION: 3  FANS: 4

You get a little bit of everything here - some of the course challenging some easy. Cool at the start, hot at the end. Great crowd at the start, not so great at the end... What I enjoyed the most is the winding course allows you to see runners that are way in front of you or way in back. You know how you are doing in the race as you can see where you are in comparison to the runners in front, making this a real strategic race.

Complaints: plastic cups for water--not a best choice. But the worst has to be awards ceremony. Did one exist???? I hung around forever and didn't hear a thing. Got my prize weeks later.

A Runner from McAllen, Texas (7/2/2000)
"Being my first marathon, it was super fun!" (about: 1999)

COURSE: 4  ORGANIZATION: 4  FANS: 4

This was my first marathon. The route is scenic and beautiful. Good organization, except for the sports drink, which were not available until after the half way point. I intend to run it again this year. My total time was 5:42:55, but everyone made me feel as if I was the winner.
