I ran the half marathon and I had a great run. The volunteers were very friendly. Great happy atmosphere.
I've reached that half marathon by mistake after the Big Cottonwood half marathon have closed their registration too early, but I don't regret. I've earned a great run.
Just please, please next year let people pick up their packages also from Salt Lake city. The long drive just to get my package wasn't fun at all.

A really fun fast course. Beautiful scenery. Rural course, which I like. Good traffic control. Felt protected from traffic the entire course. COLD at the start. Wear something to throw off, you'll want it early. I'd run this again...

Amazing organization. Very efficient packet pick-up and race-day logistics. Very impressed. Will definitely run again.

"Brilliant race" (about: 2013)

The course is absolutely stunning in terms of beauty and grade. There are no super steep downhill sections, just a very fast consistent grade. The support was well executed with proper aid stations and plenty of treats. The finish area was highly energetic and enthusiastic. This is my favorite marathon in Utah.

I was worried about the 9:00 start time, but it turned out to be a perfect day. It was chilly at the top, but not unbearable. Temp at the finish line (1:00PM for me) was in the mid 50's and clear.

It definitely had a smaller feel to it compared to the other marathons I've run, but that wasn't a bad thing. Volunteers were amazing. Plenty of aid stations. Gorgeous course, and a few unique things that I liked a lot. Who knew skittles would taste so good after around 20 miles? And the huge bag of ice I was handed after finishing was sent straight from heaven.

This was a well put together race. Beautiful course, excellent volunteers, and great attention to detail. Would highly recommend this race.

"Very pretty, but poor first aid" (about: 2013)

The course was beautiful, however they were seriously lacking in aid stations. I wound up needing my knee tapped and they told me they were not equipped for that. They also had not asprin or tylenol. They should have been better prepared.

I have never been to a more positive, happy, friendly, well organized marathon. Comparative in spirit to the Boston! With less spectators. I think you should do a Huntsville to st. George like they do Boston to Big Sur! Loved it....

I loved that you let slower runners start early. It made me feel a part of the race instead running alone for hours and making volunteers have a long day.
Your tent was too small.
I think you should offer a SLC packet pickup, it was a 2.5 hour round trip for me.
I think out of state runners or +100 miles should be able to pick up their packet for free Saturday morning.
I was disappointed to see the police assistance gone from the major street crossing near the end of the race before race had ended. Thought that was very dangerous. Slower runners need to be helped across too.
Liked medal, shirt, bus speech, volunteers, awesome aid stations with 2 porta pottie, finish line food & bag pickup, course, well marked turns.
