 "Fantastic inaugural marathon" (about: 2010)

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 This was everything you could wish for in a small marathon. Organizers were constantly updating us through website and Facebook as well as responding to questions. Course was beautiful. Volunteers very helpful. Plentiful water, gatorade, and GU - and pizza at the finish! The medal and shirt are top-notch. And the announcer made each person feel like they just won their own race! | |

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 The race organizer and the volunteers did a fantastic job putting this race together. The marathon course was scenic, and the little rain enhanced the beauty of the gentle, rolling hills. The downhills at mile 15 and 25 are a big treat, not to mention the slice of pizza at the end. As a 50-state marathoner, this one is on my top 10 in all categories. Put it in your bucket list. | |

COURSE: 5 ORGANIZATION: 4 FANS: 4 I ran the half, making this my 7th half. The scenery was beautiful, with the changing fall colors, and there were gradual, rolling hills. I considered it to be a fast course. The pace groups were awesome. Frequent water stations, Gatorade, and GU for those who want it. Organization was great overall, especially for the inaugural event. There wasn't a lot of fan support, but the volunteers and spectators who helped out were awesome. Post-race food wasn't ideal for me: bananas and pizza. I wasn't able to stick around for the post-race expo, but it looked fantastic. If I didn't have an hour-long drive back to Pacific Grove, I would have done the wine tasting! | |

COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 3 The majority of the course is very scenic. There are a few hills, but they are manageable. The organization was top-notch down to the last detail. There were aid stations every two miles with plenty of water, Gatorade and GU. The shirts and medals are very nice. I'll be running this one again. |
