This is a nice, small marathon. If you want hill work, you'll get it here. Good support on the course, and a downhill finish. The course is all asphalt, mostly on a trail. One suggestion: earlier start time.

"hot and hilly... toughest in Florida" (about: 2007)

A nice change to the many flat, fast, 6 a.m. start races in Florida. This is a fun, challenging course with lots of hills... a rare find in Florida. And it had an 8 a.m. start-time. The finish onto the track at the USA National Training Center is very cool. The folks who put on this race are experienced athletes, and it shows.

"Really tough course" (about: 2007)

I ran the half, and the organization was great, but the course was 13.1 miles of hills. The after-race food was plentiful, which was necessary after running one of the toughest races in which I have ever participated. Due to the route, there were no fans at all. Would I run this again? Yes, 100%.
