"Fun little race!" (about: 2006)

11-50 previous marathons | 1 Blue Springs Trail Marathon
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 1

This was a great little race. I was suprised how well it was run. They only had a few runners, but it was well organized with plenty of water stops. There was more food on the course and at the end than some of the much bigger races that I have run. The weather was perfect. I don't know that I would recommend this for a first marathon, but anyone else will enjoy it. It had a great t-shirt and probably the most interesting medal I have received. Hey, you can't beat the price. I will be back to do it again.

"A great fall trail marathon/50K" (about: 2005)

6-10 previous marathons | 1 Blue Springs Trail Marathon
COURSE: 4  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 3

I had a great time completing the 50K (there is also a marathon and a 50-mile race held at the same time). The course is a crushed rock trail that is mostly flat and uncrowded. The race was well organized and the aid stations were well staffed. Volunteers were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this race to anyone who wants to run an easy and fun 50K/marathon/50-mile trail run.

"A great choice for walkers!" (about: 2004)

1 previous marathon | 1 Blue Springs Trail Marathon
COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 4  FANS: 4

This is a small event, yet with lots of choices: marathon, 50k, 50 miles. The course (only 45-min drive from downtown Kansas City) is flat, easy to follow, un-crowded, and away from city traffic. Colorful foliage and cool fall weather make the run/walk very pleasant. The friendly down-to-earth atmosphere coupled with the 10-hour time allotment make this event particularly favorable to first-timers or walkers.

"Great course" (about: 2002)

COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 5  FANS: 3

This is a great place to run a training marathon or ultra. Very flat and the weather is usually cooperative. I have run this race the past few years and love the atmosphere. Multiple out-and-back course is great for dropping clothes or refueling along the way.

A Runner from Iowa. (Is this Heaven? No, its Iowa.) (11/3/2002)
"beautiful, flat course" (about: 2002)

COURSE: 5  ORGANIZATION: 4  FANS: 3

I had a fun time! Met and talked to many interesting runners and volunteers at the event. The flat course wound through wooded and open park areas littered with the beautiful colored leaves of Fall. The volunteers were a friendly group and the soup afterward was great.
