 "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home!" (about: 2001)
COURSE: 4 ORGANIZATION: 5 FANS: 5 My home town hosted it's inaugural Queen City Marathon on September 23, 2001. It was a fantastic event run on a very scenic (and twisting!) course, with awesome crowd support and NUMEROUS aid stations. The Carbo Loading Party was well-organized with plenty of delicious pasta for everyone, as opposed to a 'one plate per person' deal. The course marshalls were well prepared and the Regina City Police Service did a fantastic job controlling traffic for the runners. I'll definitely do this one again! Denise Ackerman |
