I ran this marathon a few years ago; I think there were 18 runners. Matt Mahoney marked the course with flour because rain had washed out the markers the night before. This race is as advertised - it's not for wimps or whiners. Do this race if you want to experience the REAL FLORIDA-the humidity, the sand and the ninety degrees in the shade heat.
