| Description: | Just finished the NY City Marathon and it was a blast. It was my third one, having completed Athens, Greece and the Flora London. While the finish line doesn't compare with London's at Buckingham Palace, the crowd won first place with their amazing spirit and enthusiasm! I wore my name on my Canada shirt and I'm sure Lance Armstrong couldn't have gotten a better reception than I did. I heard nothing but my name being screamed out with such things as 'Brooklyn loves ya, Sheila' and 'Do it for Canada, Sheila'. Thank you New York for shaving 15 whole minutes off my personal best time. It made that 5 hour wait at the start line all worth it. New York City is an amazing city and a true international community. |
