Running in Grand Teton National Park feels a true privilage any day. Soaring peaks, spectacular wildlilfe and changing wildflowers are all part of this area. Of particular interests is a wonderful run along the Gros Ventre Road near Kelly, Wyoming. A person can go for up to seven miles in either direction from Kelly or connect other roads for up to 30 miles. You will have spectacular views both going and returning. There is a hot spring to jump in as well. Note: Give the Bison (Buffalo) a good 100 yards regarless of your pace. This is also a notoriously dry and well exposed run. To get there: drive seven miles north of Jackson, WY on US 191 and turn right onto the Gros Ventre Road. You can park at any turn out along the road. A run to lift the spirit. |
