This is technically in Manyunk, but I run to it from Center city so I am filing it under Philly.
At the end of mainstreet, toward the south of the street there is an entarance to the Tow Path.
It is a scenic gravel path that leads back into the woods along the river.
It is a fun and shady run, but the distances are not clearly marked and there are no water fountains or porta johns like on the Kelly/West River Loop.
Great for a longer run. Instead of staying on the river loop, coninue down Kelly onto main street in Manyunk, and take it to the Path.
You can easily turn this is into a 15 to 20 miler depending on how far you want to go. |
