A beautiful beach run, paved sidewalks, frequent bathrooms, water fountain, water/mountain views and panoramic city skyline view. At low tide there are often blue herons fishing. Park @ Alki Ave SW & 61st - head east along the water all the way to Jack Block Park and Back - about 5 miles round trip - coffe @ Starbuck's, Tully's, or the Alki Bakery. You can extend the run west past the lighthouse, around Alki Pt, past Constellation Park, Cormorant Cove, Weatherwatch Park - miles of public sidewalk along the waterfront all the way to Lincoln Park. And Lincoln Park deserves a whole other write-up. |
