A pleasant 10km there-and-back run round Barcelona's sculpted urban beaches looking out over the Mediterranean. Starting at the bottom of the Rambla, skirt left round the harbour for 1.5km, then cross the road to the beach side and continue on the seafront pedestrian way until the athletics track at Marbella Beach - that's just under 5km. You can go further too but currently (Oct'05) coastal construction work means you have to go inland. On summer afternoons there can be pedestrian congestion, eg around the Olympic Port. |
