Path from Frostburg Scenic Railroad goes either east to Cumberland, or my favorite, north into Pennsylvania on rail-to-trail that was recently dedicated. Soft gravel surface with incredible views of Mountain Maryland. Shady so even in the hottest weather it's cool enough. Although at 2200 feet elevation it is seldom too hot in Frostburg. Slight incline into PA, through two long tunnels, and then slightly downhill back makes for perfect run. |
