| Description: | This isn't really a beautiful course, but it is very cool to get in a virtually un-traffic-interrupted 5 miler in the midst of extreme urban build-up. Start at the LAX Marriott and head west on Century Blvd to Sepulveda Blvd north to Lincoln Blvd north/west (there is a fork in the road and you go left...this is the one touchy part of the run re: traffic. Run on the north side of Lincoln to Manchester and turn around and come back. Almost exactly 5 miles and a surreal experience to be bombing at full speed along a road (Lincoln) that bisects the runway at LAX so you have huge planes overhead and wide open concrete fields to your right and left. |
