The path around the park is 1.7 miles with shade and plenty of company. But if you would like to extend your route there is an outer loop. It isn't really marked out and is made by the thousands of runners that have taken it and contributed to its formation. This loop is 2 miles, and if you head to the Audubon Zoo and over the train tracks to the levee you will get a round trip of 4 miles.
