Lake Merritt is approx. 3.0 miles around. It is a pleasant run along the lake of beautiful Oakland, CA - located across the bay from San Francisco. It is a great place to train for a marathon, since you can park your car long the route and use your car as a water(or GU Gel) stop after each time around.
