You can hop on this loop anywhere along the way (obviously... since it's a "loop")
I start off in Brooklyn, at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge. Cross over the bridge and take in the gorgeous views of Manhattan, the East River and the harbors. On the Manhattan side of the bridge, you will be deposited at City Hall Plaza. Run past the southern tip of the plaza, which will then place you along Broadway. Go up Broadway and turn right on Canal St. Be cautious here, as pedestrian and road traffic are very heavy. Enjoy the numerous odors of Chinatown as you continue down Canal St. until you get to the Bowery. At this point, you will see the Manhattan Bridge directly in front of you. The pedestrian foot is on the southern side of the bridge (i.e. on the right side of the bridge as you're facing it on Canal St.) Take the bridge over to Brooklyn, at which point you will be on Jay St. Continue down Jay St. and make a right onto Tillary St. Keep going until you reach Cadman Plaza Park, where you will turn right and head back to the base of the Brooklyn Bridge. Total mileage: 4 miles.
