Tired of running on the streets? Lake Geneva, WI offers a nice change. Due to local ordinances, all lake front property owners around Geneva Lake must allow a public right of way for pedestrians. This "path" offers a beautiul run around this clean, spring fed lake. The terrain varies as much as the path surfaces. Grass, stones, paved, dirt, and everything in between compliment the rolling terrain. Total milage around the lake is approx. 22 miles and the path can be accessed at many points. Stay alert as the footing changes constantly. Little to no water on the path so bring your own if doing a long run. In the summer months a tour boat travels from the city of Lake Geneva at the east end of the lake, to the village of Fontana on the west end. Do this 12-13 miler one way and take the boat back to your car. I have been running on this path for the last 16 years and still enjoy it every day! |
